who we are → and aren't
About Online PT-141.
A bright, plain-spoken digest of the published research — nothing sold, nothing prescribed.
What this site is
Online PT-141 is an independent editorial project that publishes summaries of the peer-reviewed research literature on PT-141 (bremelanotide). We are not a clinic. We do not employ clinicians, and we do not provide medical advice. We do not manufacture, sell, or distribute any product. Our work is editorial commentary on publicly available science.
We built this site because PT-141 is one of the most-searched and most-misunderstood compounds around — and most of what circulates is either sales copy or scare copy. We wanted a third thing: a friendly, readable digest that leads with what the trials and the FDA label actually measured, and that is honest about the modest size of the benefit and the real cost in side effects.
What the name means
The "Online" in our name is editorial framing — it means an accessible, plain-English reading of the literature you can reach from anywhere, a research digest a curious person can actually follow. It is not a telehealth service, a pharmacy, or a checkout. We do not offer treatment, consultation, prescriptions, or sales of any kind, and nothing here should be read as an offer to supply PT-141 or any other compound.
We keep a hard line between two kinds of information. The cited layer — drawn from the published trials and the approved label — carries the weight. The community field-reports layer, which we include on the research and side-effects pages, is labeled clearly as unverified, kept visually separate, and never dressed up as evidence.
How we handle the science
Every quantitative clinical claim on this site is tied to a numbered source on our references page — the RECONNECT Phase 3 trials, the mechanistic and review literature, and the FDA prescribing information. We report doses only as they appear in trials and on the label, never as a recommendation for any individual, and we use generic compound names throughout. When the evidence is strong, we say so; when it is early-phase, off-label, or disputed, we say that too. The aim is one honest, bright, accurate place to understand what PT-141 is and what is actually known about it.
